Gisela Dulko - Successful Argentine Tennis Player

Gisela Dulko (born on January 30, 1985 in Tigre, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) is an Argentine female tennis player. On November 21, 2005 Dulko reached her career-high singles ranking: World No. 26.

She has won 6 titles in doubles, including the 2000 US Open Juniors with Marνa Emilia Salerni, the 2002 Australian Open Juniors with Angelique Widjaja, the 2001 Wimbledon Championships with Ashley Harkleroad, and the 2006 Cincinnati Women's Open with Italian Maria Elena Camerin. In singles, she was a runner-up in Hobart in 2005, losing to Zheng Jie (CHN), and a runner-up in Pattaya in 2007, losing to Sybille Bammer (AUT) 7–5, 3–6, 7–5. Gisela Dulko currently dates Chilean tennis player Fernando Gonzalez, and has previously dated Spanish tennis stars Fernando Verdasco and Tommy Robredo.





On April 29, 2007, Dulko finally won her first WTA Tour title by defeating Sorana Cξrstea of Romania 6–7(2), 6–2, 6–2 in the final of the Tier III event in Budapest. With this win, her ranking was set to rise to No. 34 in the World. On August 25, 2007, Dulko won her second WTA Tour title at the Forest Hills Tier IV event defeating Virginie Razzano 6–2 6–2 in the final. On May 4, 2008, Dulko won her third WTA Tour title at the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem Tier IV event defeating Anabel Medina Garrigues 76(2) 76(5) in a very dificult final. Gisela moved to 48th position of the wta tour rankings on May 5.
